An updraft gasifier has clearly defined zones for partial combustion, reduction, and pyrolysis. Air is introduced at the bottom and act as countercurrent to fuel flow. The gas is drawn at higher location. The updraft gasifier achieves the highest efficiecy as the hot gas passes through fuel bed and leaves the gasifier at low temperature. The sensible heat given by gas is used to preheat and dry fuel.

Biomass Gasifier Wood Gasifier Gasifier for thermal Apllication Gasifier with complete Aotumatic Burners Gasifier for Food Industry The INFINITE Vergassen is a simple and reliable solution for bringing down the fuel cost by over 50%. The INFINITE Vergassen converts wood into a burnable gas (producer-gas) by means of a process known as thermal gasification. The producer gas can be piped from the gasifier (which may be located outside the plant building ) to the ovens/furnaces/etc located in the plant building and burnt in specially designed burners, in place of fossil fuels like F.O/L.D.O/Diesel/LPG/CNG. Thus expensive liquid/gas fuels can be effectively replaced by low cost wood without any changes in operations, temperature profile, temperature control and cleanliness in the plant area. The gasifiers is essentially a chemical reactor, where several thermo-chemical processes such as pyrolysis, combustion, and reduction take place. Most biomass materials can be converted into a gaseous fuel knows as producer gas, which comprises carbon monoxide, hydrogen carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrogen. (1000-1200 Kcal/nm3) compared to natural gas has or liquefied petroleum gas, but can be burnt with high efficiency and good degree of control without emitting smoke. The producer gas flame temperature can be as high as 1100 0C. Each kilogram of air dry biomass (10% moisture control) yields about 2.5nm3 of producer gas. In energy terms, the conversion of efficiency of the gasification process is in the range of 80%-90%. Usage of gasifiers instead of conventional direct burning devices will lead to savings of a minimum of 50% fuel cost. For thermal applications, the technology has been well proven and gasifiers systems are already working in the field. The capacity installed so far covers a wide range of application at different capacities. Conversion of soild biomass into combustible gas offers all the advantages associated with using gaseous And liquid fuels such as clean combustion, compact burning equipment just like conventional diesel burner, high thermal efficiency and a good degree of control. Furthermore, the gasification system can be physically isolated from the combustion system and hence the handling of fuel and ash removal can be away from the actual area.
