Magnum Marine Services is a partnership concern established in the year 2001 with Mr. Venugopal U. Kaup as chief partner. Though this company was established in 2001, partners were carrying out the same business since year 1994 in the name of ?Royal Marine?. The new company was established as a part of restructuring programme and the activities of previous company was terminated since then. Mr. Venugopal U. Kaup is a first class graduate in Mechanical Engineering having passed out with distinction. He had an outstanding academic record. He is holder of First Class Certificate of Competency in Marine Engineering. Before joining sea, he had an extensive training in M/s Mazagaon Docks Ltd., Mumbai which is a major shiprepair and ship building yard in India.Mr. Venugopal U. Kaup had a long career at sea spanning over a period of more than 20 years. During this period he has served in various ranks and majority of the service was as Chief Engineer. He has sailed on board almost all type of Vessels such as Bulk Carriers, Oil Tankers, OBO?s, Container Vessels, Multi purpose General Cargo Vessels etc. He has served on board Indian Flag Vessels as well as various other nationality Vessels. In view of his vast sailing experience, he is fully conversant with Shipboard machineries such as Main Propulsion Engines, Diesel Generating Sets, Oil Purifiers, Air Compressors and other related machineries and equipments.The Company has also employed well experienced and skilled Marine Technicians for efficient handling of various jobs and maintain strict quality control.
