Lead and chromite free
Dry time: 45 minutes to touch; 45 minutes to re-coat (must be overcoated within 4 hours. Will accept other coatings such as SUPER THERM but will not accept itself after 4 hours. May be used by itself without a topcoat. Excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates. Attaches itself into the pores of metal or concrete and expands to lock into them. Cures by reacting to moisture in the air. Guards against all corrosion. Not affected by acid splash. A portion of a container may be used and resealed for later use. A skin will form on surface of product. Remove skin and use as directed.
COVERAGE RECOMMENDATION :-
Metal, fiberglass: 400 sq. Ft/gallon
Wood, concrete, porous substrates: 300 sq. Ft./gallon
Apply coating in two separate applications.
Bridges and/or encapsulation: 100 sq. Ft./gallon
Apply in four passes or applications.

Tests and applications :-
RUST GRIP, as one of its current areas of use, is being tested and analyzed by the states of Missouri, Michigan, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Tennessee. Missouri is presently conducting tests on RUST GRIP in three areas for uses on bridges and guardrails. Louisiana has completed a 1500-hour salt fog and adhesion/weathering test with excellent results.
In response to the highway industry, the areas proposed for RUST GRIP to be utilized are :-
Any area where corrosion exists (structural, rebar, guard rail, signs, etc.)
Where lead-based coatings exist (to comply with Clean Air Act).
Where lead-based coatings are being removed anyway; as the replacement coating.
As prime coating from the foundry to replace zinc primers.
