Founded in 1968, Porite Taiwan is now the largest member of the porite group of powder metallurgy companies. It has been the leader in the P/M parts and bearing industry in Taiwan for most of its history and is one of the largest producers in the "Pacific rim" area. It is expected that revenues will continue their strong growth and exceed 65 million U.S. Dollars in 1998. Porite Taiwan consumes over 650 tons of various powders per month to produce approximately 200million piecces of parts with a work force of only 586 people Porite supplies in excess of 60% of the P/M parts used ion Taiwan. Porite Taiwan has been a member of long standing in the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF) in the USA and the European Powder Metal Association (EPMA). They have taken a very active status in the Taiwan P/M recipient of QS-9000 in Taiwan and have earned the respect of their customers, suppliers and even competitors. Porite supplies parts ranging from "micro" bearings used in such things as cameras and mini devices to large components used in automobiles, motorcycles and large agricultural equipment. Many demanding parts are used in power tools and they produce entire assemblies as well.
