    About Us
High Technology at a Low Price:
Princeton Satellite Systems, Inc. Is a small company on the forefront of control and simulation technology. We are actively developing state-of-the-art technology for lighter-than-air-vehicles, solar sails, and spacecraft formation flying. Our areas of expertise include control, estimation, and simulation. We have numerous goverment contracts and we sell commercial software including control toolboxes for MATLAB, stand-alone simulations, and C++ libraries for real-time software.

Whether you need a review of your own work, an algorithm to extend an existing design, or a complete control system, we can supply the highest quality product at the lowest cost.

    Control Systems:
Princeton Satellite Systems can help you meet the challenge of designing a spacecraft control system because of our experience in control system analysis, design, and evaluation. Since we began operations in 1992, our work has included the GPS IIR attitude determination system, the Cakrawarta-1 attitude control system, and the Telstar 4 flight software.

Depending on your needs, we can supply you with an entire attitude control system including: flight computer, sensors, actuators, and the flight software, or just the control system design and software requirements.

    Software:
Princeton Satellite Systems can help keep your software projects on schedule and under budget. We are well versed in modern languages such as C++ and Ada, as well as state-of-the-art design methodologies. In addition, we have extensive experience with the design, testing, and verification of satellite flight software. One of our first jobs was to support the FQT of the GPS IIR software for GE Astro Space (now part of Lockheed Martin). We also developed a ground software attitude estimator for Koreasat. Other products include an Ada package that emulates 1750A floating point arithmetic.

    Spacecraft Simulations:
Princeton Satellite Systems can solve your simulation problems. Our modeling experience and software libraries allow us to deliver simulations that are easy to use, have the right degree of fidelity to validate your system, and are ready when you need them.

Our latest simulations include 3D real-time graphics and graphical user interfaces.

    Launch Support:
Princeton Satellite Systems is uniquely qualified to support your launch operations. Our background includes numerous satellite launches, hundreds of satellite maneuvers, and launch team supervision. We have provided attitude analyst support for the Telstar 402, Asiasat, and Koreasat launches.

We have developed custom tools for spin axis attitude determination that include state-of-the-art numerical algorithms. The tools, which work within the Matlab environment, are easy to use and to customize.

    Services:
Princeton Satellite Systems offers a full range of design services to its customers. We are available on short notice and can accommodate nearly any schedule, whether it is for a single day, or for the entire life cycle of your spacecraft.

    GSA Schedule Consulting:
We provide consulting to get onto GSA Schedules at reasonable rates.

    Background:
Our engineers have had extensive spacecraft experience prior to joining Princeton Satellite Systems. Some highlights are listed below.

    -GPS IIR control system design
    -Inmarsat 3 control system design
    -ATDRS control design architecture
    -Systems engineer for SURFSAT

    -Aircraft Control Toolbox:
The Aircraft Control Toolbox (ACT) gives you all of the tools you need to design powerful control systems for any type of aircraft. Whether you want to design a controller for a fighter aircraft, analyze the robustness properties of an airship, or fly an F-16 with a Heads-Up-Display, you can do it all with the ACT.

    -Aircraft Control Toolbox Learning Edition:
The Aircraft Control Toolbox allows you to design and test control systems in a matter of hours, not days or weeks. You can simulate any kind of aircraft. Changes are easy to make and you have excellent visibility into the resulting software. Prototyping your control systems and simulation models will reduce both development time and cost. MATLAB frees you from the expensive edit/compile/link cycle because it is interpretive and fully interactive.

    -DSim:
DSim is a simulation architecture offering superior performance through load distribution and interfaces for incorporation of existing simulations. A flexible object-oriented framework is provided for implementing new models with comprehensive batch processing, scripted events, and on-the-fly inspection and control.

    -Indostar ACS:
The Indostar Attitude and Control System was developed by Princeton Satellite Systems under subcontract to Defense Systems Inc. (DSI) which later became part of CTA and then part of Orbital Sciences Corporation. Princeton Satellite Systems engineers worked closely with the contractor's GN&C and software engineers to produce a state-of-the-art momentum bias attitude control system, then delivered the C flight software that was incorporated directly into the flight software build. In addition, PSS provided the verification simulation, "Indosim", which was used throughout the program.

    -MANTA:
MANTA (Messaging Architecture for Networked and Threaded Applications) is a development framework for implementing complex distributed, concurrent, or client/server applications. MANTA is suitable for modular realtime control applications and features extensive messaging and networking capabilities.

    -MatrixLib v3:
MatrixLib v3 is a complete solution for implementing one and two dimensional matrices, to solve embedded control and simulation problems in the C++ environment. Virtually any engineering application will require the use of matrices - this library implements all of the matrix operations supported by MATLAB in an easy to use and highly efficient C++ API. It greatly reduces the time and money needed to port algorithms developed in MATLAB to C++.

    -Satellite Simulator:
One of our group of educational and entertainment products, with Satellite Simulator you can learn to manipulate spacecraft and satellites just like aerospace professionals. Using the powerful MultiVehicleSim engine, Satellite Simulator includes sophisticated orbital dynamics and a network interface supporting up to 8 spacecraft!
