A technology leader in tools and dies, Iris is a major supplier of sheet metal dies and parts for industries ranging from automobiles, auto ancillaries and consumer appliances to electricals, electronics and aerospace. The 40,000 - sq.ft. plant, located near Chennai, India, is equipped with the most advanced designing, manufacturing and metrology systems and facilities. Backed by a highly qualified team of engineers, technicians and systems specialists.
Products & Services:- Tools & Dies Iris is among the first and few companies in India to achieve global standards in this area. Examples include: the manufacture of Progressive Dies for medium-size parts; Checking Fixtures for the automobile industry and Cast Steel Dies; 'Paperless Tool Manufacturing' Capability - accepting complex 3D surface data from the customer in a variety of Electronic Formats, 3D solid modeling, generating CAD/CAM programs and transferring them directly to CNC machines for manufacturing and metrology.
Product Design & Prototypes
The CAD centre at Iris, besides providing support for die design work, does Professional Product Design and Electronic Prototyping to international standards. This capability helps customers to substitute sheet metal parts and plastic/ castings with each other. The centre simulates the functional criteria and performance of the part using Finite Element Analysis and prepares the groundwork for simulating the forming process using software like Optris, AutoForm or Pamstamp. The solid modeling, surfacing and FEA capabilities in the CAD centre, using SDRC I-Deas and Pro-Engineer platforms, help the customer optimise design, cost and performance in a systematic and well-engineered manner. This capability is further backed by prototyping services to physically confirm the electronically simulated design Stampings.
Stampings:- Iris has a large, well-equipped Stamping Shop that can handle parts of sizes up to 800 x 1200 mm. The Zero-Defect Despatch System and Stage -wise, Gauged Inspection ensure consistent, high-quality stampings.
