The company was incorporated in the year 1965. Since its inception, the company has made pioneering efforts in the field of Vacuum Technology, which was its prime goal. Today the company is leading the market in the fields of Insulating Oil Filtration Plants, Vacuum Pressure Impregnating Plants, Resin Casting Plants, Vacuum Drying Plants etc.The company has received National Awards for Import Substitution and new inventions viz.,

Vacuum Plant and Instruments Manufacturing Company Limited was the first establishment in India to introduce the best techno-commercial package for large vacuum-based installations. It gave the country the benefits of International Technology and Indian low cost manufacture - combination.

The company is associated with M/s. MICAFIL AG, of SWITZERLAND to produce Vacuum Pressure Impregnation Plants for High Voltage Rotating Machines & Vapour Phase Drying Plants for Power Transformers and the outcome of this association has been extremely successful and has generated business worth several millions. We have entered into a consortium agreement with M/s. MICAFIL AG, of SWITZERLAND for jointly executing projects in India and overseas wherein their Plant and machinery required by the Electrical Engineering Industries are involved.

The company has designed and manufactured a completely indigenous Cast Resin Vacuum Plant for Dry Type Transformers, suited to Toshiba, Japan technology, for ECE Industries Ltd., India.
