Neco group of companies, promoted by Mr.Basant Lal Shaw in 1976 at Nagpur in Maharashtra, has its origin in a Grey Iron Foundry. Today it is the largest Indian Group of Iron and steel Foundry with a capacity of 100, 000 tonnes and turn over of US $ 150 Million, both per annum, covering a wide range of finished castings for Automobile, Engineering and construction industries in addition to Cast/Ductile Iron pipes and pipe Fittings.
Foundries are equipped with high pressure moulding lines having box dimensions 800x1200 mm and 3000x1300 mm.
The Group has not only expanded in Foundry business but has also diversified into a number of related and unrelated products:
With the technical collaboration from Shougang International Trade and
Engineering Corporation, China, set up a Blast Furnace for production of 375, 000 MT of Pig Iron per annum. It is operating at more than 100% capacity.
Turn-key core and infrastructure projects which include National Highways, Road & Railway Bridges, Steel Plants.
Food processing with a soyabean Oil Extraction and Refining plant at Mouda in
Maharashtra.
Ferro Alloys manufacturing at Durgapur, West Bengal.
Manufacturing of Refractories at Nagpur for steel and cement plants.
