Proprietorship Firm Since 1972
Established in 1972 FOODesign (Food Engineering and Designed Systems, Inc.) provided engineering services for complete plant installations, food processing, conveying equipment and product development services. In 1983 FOODesign sold all of its subsidiary operations and maintained the engineering portion of the company.
The company was re-invented in 1994 by Joseph Mistretta (formerly Corporate Vice President of a FOODesign subsidiary and Daniel Luna (formerly Sales Manager for Meyer Machine Company). The company was re-established to provide engineering services for machine design and plant layout/installations. During the first six months of business FOODesign was called upon by several of its clients to provide processing equipment for in plant use. The company established a partnership with a manufacturing company to build its equipment designs under a licensing agreement. With continued growth in FOODesign the company elected to establish a West Coast manufacturing facility located in Wilsonville, Oregon in 1995
