China Petroleum Technology & Development Corporation (CPTDC) is a wholly-owned subsidiary company of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). Subordinate to CNPC Services & Engineering Ltd., CPTDC is China's largest professional foreign trade company specializing in manufacturing and supply of petroleum and petrochemical material, equipment and technology. CPTDC has been authorized to do import and export business and undertake transnational and trans-regional operation. In 2003, CPTDC was ISO9000 licensed.

CPTDC possesses substantial economic strength and advanced technology. With 25 branches, offices and corporations in areas including CIS, Middle Asia, Africa, Southeast Asia, South & North Americas, Middle East. CPTDC has set up warehouses, maintenance centers and joint ventures in some countries. It has also organized China Petroleum Material and Equipment Export Network consisting of over 130 petroleum machinery manufacturing enterprises, refineries and chemical enterprises in China. Among these member enterprises, most of them build up integrated quality guarantee system.

All through the past years, CPTDC has endeavored to offer the best equipment, material and services to meet the demand of the petroleum and petrochemical industry of the world. It has so far established long-term trade relationships with nearly 500 companies located in 55 countries and regions. Its exports include petroleum exploration equipment and instrument, drilling equipment and tools, work-over and production equipment and tools, oil country tubular goods, drill pipe, tubing and casing, oilfield construction equipment, oilfield chemicals, refining and chemical products and equipment as well as related engineering services. Its record annual export exceeds US$300 million. In 2001, CPTDC's export volume ranked the first among all the foreign trade companies under the management of the state.
