PIPL specializes in offering Plano Optics as per customer specifications. PIPL has capabilities to produce Prisms ( 5 mm to 300 mm) within 30 seconds tolerances and windows within 10 seconds tolerances. The company achieved a turn over of 2000 Prisms / Optical Components per month during the year 2000-01. It has also successfully developed Optical & Metrology Equipment.
PIPL possesses state-of-the-art manufacturing & testing facilities. The organization's production & quality departments are equipped with Hilger & Watts Autocollimators. PIPL has adequate inhouse capabilities to offer coated Optics - SLAR & Al Reflective coatings. The coating plant has an Electron Beam Gun and the coated optics are qualified in Shimadzu's Spectrophotometer. The Abrasion & Adhesion tests are carried out using Summers Coating Test Kit according to US-Mil standards. The surface flatness undergoes inspection in the powerful Laser Fizeau Interferometer. PIPL also takes up project works on development of Image analysis by Interferometer like distortion, Wavefront forms etc.
