Vacuum Scientific Services Limited was formed in January 1981 by Mr U.R. Bance, an acknowledged vacuum expert for the previous 20 years. We manufacture and supply at competitive prices and deliver high technology vacuum products such as ion pumps (diode and triode), ion pump controls, the RGA 10 mass spectrometer control unit, customised systems and complete argon dating systems.
An ion plating service, especially of x-ray targets with aluminium, magnesium, gold, silver, titanium and zirconium, is provided at very competitive prices and delivery (24hr service available).
A new VSS diode/triode (D/T) ion pump, with superior performance specifications and a copy of the published paper on design of the D/T pump are available.
The Company also provides services for the refurbishing of vacuum systems, pumps and instrumentation and the supply of refurbished pumps, spares, modules and other consumables. These "after-sales" services are particularly attractive to users of vacuum equipment originally supplied by AEI, Kratos, Ferranti etc., but enquiries are welcome regarding other manufacturer?s vacuum equipment.
We feel that the success of our business is due to the fact that we try to treat all customers, large or small, with the same respect and high standard of service they deserve. The quality of our service is illustrated by the fact that all ion pumps, new and refurbished, are sealed off under vacuum at pressure better than 10-8 mbar, after passing quality-controlled procedures.
