Epoxy resins are the modern day electrical insulating materials with excellent electrical and mechanical properties. The epoxy resin cast components have proven their ability of long fail proof performance. Electrical industry world over has taken full advantage of these materials. Epoxy resin casting are now used in very high voltage applications. Press Gel insulations was started in 1981. Press Gel Insulations Pvt. Ltd. Has pioneered in Epoxy molding technology. The company grew from strength to strength in the manufacture of insulators and bushings for transformer and switchgear industry. The company has a committed work force of about 50 people. Initially the transformer industry in India was the main customer for epoxy bushings. Since 1987 switchgear industry also patronized the company and many types of components were manufactured since then. The company has in-house testing facility to test upto 120 kv power frequency tests. The products are routinely tested and type tested to ensure quality. The insulators are tested for mechanical properties like tensile strength, compression strength, cantilever load, torsion etc. Also these are tested for electrical properties like impulse test, dielectric strength, one minute high voltage withstand test etc. Other tests are also performed as per customers' requirements. Bushings are tested for partial discharge test, impulse test etc. By agencies like ERDA. All tests are conducted as per international standards or as per customers' requirements. All components are tested as per customer requirements. Quality, physical appearances of the components are given utmost importance.
