Aircraft primary flight displays, unmanned air vehicles, aircraft fire detection systems and automobile climate control systems Aerospace systems: Displays, sensors, controls and monitoring systems utilising the latest solid state electronic technology Aerospace equipment: Hydraulic, pneumatic and fuel control valves: fire/overheat/smoke detectors for civil and military aircraft. Aerospace braking systems: We specialise in high performance, highly reliable braking technologies for aircraft. These include hydraulically actuated carbon composite and steel brakes, mechanical and digital anti-skid brake control systems and lightweight alloy wheels. We are pioneering electrically actuated carbon composite brakes (known as the E-brake?), designed to exceed current standards of reliability, operating cost and aircraft 'dispatchability'. Defence systems: World leaders in the design, development and manufacture of free flight aerial marine and ground-based targetry including towed targets and countermeasures, unmanned air vehicles, high speed reeling machines and electronic scoring systems, ammunition handling equipment and environmental control systems. Meggitt Defence Systems' products are used to train and evaluate armed forces worldwide. Electronics: This business unit produces high-technology piezo-electric and piezo-resistive sensors and a range of high volume electronic components including potentiometers, resistors, encoders and switches.
