KNIFE GATE VALVE :- Knife gate valve is application specific design among industrial valves. Knife gate valve's design ensures minimum contact between moving parts of the valves. Gate of the valves is held between layers of gland packing without touching the body parts during most of its travel the seating itself is accomplished with a non sliding motion aided by Bosses located in the body. Bevelled bottom edge of the gate which allows positive closer of the gate even when solid particles settle at the bottom of the valves body. Knife gate valves are excellent hopper isolation valves with their ability to cut through powders and closes by dislodging any material in the seating area. This valve design can also tolerate differential thermal expansions of its parts without affecting its functions, thus making an ideal choice for handling high temperature media. Knife gate valves are generally unidirectional valves however, modified designs are also available to handle bidirectional shut off requirements. ARR offers a wide choice in designs and options in their knife gate valves range. ARR knife edge gate valves are designed as a cost effective and versatile solution for most knife gate application. The key design feature is zero leakage from Gland housing and follower, which ensures optimum functional capabilities. The design offers fabricated superstructure yoke which permits interchangeability between manual, electric or pneumatic actuators. Valves with internal steel lined and outer chest of Cast Iron is also standard product, port options viz., V port, Rectangular port, Diamond port can be manufactured as per customers requirement. Valves are mainly manufactured in two designs i.E. Lugged and Luggless.
