It all started in 1969 when our Chairman & Managing Director, Mr. P. Subramanian after his education and a short stint in the teaching profession in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the PSG College Of Technology, Coimbatore wanted to enter into “Gear business� (Having enormous interest in gears). Consequently, the partnership Company ‘Shanthi Engineering & Trading Co.’ was established. This company started manufacturing small gears by way of simple manufacturing process like milling. In 1972, it was converted to Shanthi Gear Products (P) Limited.
Shanthi Gears is your gateway to a wide range of power transmission products which includes gears, gear boxes, geared motors and gear assemblies both standard and custom-made.
With headquarters at Coimbatore, South India, Shanthi Gears has been in the business of designing, manufacturing and supplying various kinds of gears to almost all industries and applications for the past Three decades.
The facilities of Shanthi Gears have very few parallels in the world:
CAD work Stations, state-of-the-art manufacturing and quality control machines and equipments, in-house setup for pattern making, castings, centrifugal castings of phosphor bronze wheel rings, forgings, fabrication, heat treatment, manufacture of hobs and milling cutters, continuing research, development and technology up-gradation supported by technically qualified and trained manpower keep the products of Shanthi Gears a cut above the competition.
No wonder then, it is a natural corollary that we have been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certification by KPMG Quality Registrar.
