Description :
Invarably aggregates are cooled before taking for mixing to make concrte in medium & large scale concrete mixing. While in some other cases, adding ice together with chilled water is sufficient to reach the required concrete temperature. NSIE OFFERS CONTINUOUS COUNTER CURRENT COOLING EQUIPMENT.
Option #1: AGGREGATE COOLING IN Patent protected MTRC cooler
The fastest way of cooling the aggregates is to cool them in our Multi Tray Rotating Column (MTRC) Cooler using cold water. Depending on the aggregate size the aggregates can reach at temperature of 5 deg C in less than 10 minutes for sizes up to 150 mm approx.
De-watering is done insitu by the specially designed water lock valves located at its bottom. Subsequent use of decanters or settling tank is essential to remove the mud from waterstream emerging out from the outlet of the Column.
Our specially designed Baudelot type spray chillers (consisting of either hot dipped galvanized tube heat exchangers or as S.S. welded plate heat exchange panels)cool the water for the application & these can be supplied in completely containerized form.
Option #2: AGGREGATE COOLING BY COLD AIR for sand & small size aggregates
Our counter current vibratory vertical static coolers or MTRC cooling equipment operating on cold air can meet tis requirement of cooling the sand (without moistening) & the small size aggregates. Cold air is passed through the aggregates/ sand inside of cooling equipment. The cooling equipment is provided with air distribution system inside to ensure uniform distribution of the temperature within the aggregates. Temperatures of less than 5 deg C are possible. NSIE has developed cold air blanket system for avoiding condensation of moisture from atmosphere on the sand which otherwise becomes wet due to condensation.
