Description :
Reverse Osmosis is a process of water purification based on the advanced Membrane Technology. The impure water is first filtered in multiple stages to remove all suspended impurities and then pumped at a pressure higher than the 'Osmotic-pressure' through a semi permeable membrane. The pores in the membrane are so small that at this high pressure they allow only water to pass through, leaving all the dissolved salts of Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium - [like Chlorides, Sulphates Nitrates etc.] as also Silica, and Other chemicals, Toxins etc. on the membrane surface. The water without dissolved impurities is collected as 'Permeate' and the impurities left on the membrane surface are washed away continuously as 'Reject' to drain.
Due to its extreme high performance level and operational simplicity the Reverse Osmosis process is rapidly gaining popularity in our country.
