Description :
All planters are aware of the fact that Fermentation is the single most improtant factor affecting the quality of black tea during processing. The traditional system of floor fermentation has been widely accepted by Tea Industry but they suffer from inherent disadvantage of requirement of large floor area besides being labour intensive, batch production type and difficult to optimally control the fermenting time. To overcome essentially the space problem the planters have been switching over to Gumlah fermentation since sometime. However this also suffers to problems of being labour intensive, batch process, difficulty in manually controlling the fermenting time & thickness of tea bed.
A Fully mechanised version of Gumlah fermenting system providing contols for residence time, air supply, humidity level and leaf temperature hence becomes a vital necessity for achieving better quality tea.
